How to choose your first Azeroth Survivors class

Compare class themes and starting spells, then pick one experiment for your next run instead of relying on an untested ranking.

Start with a theme you want to play

Warrior, Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Shaman, Mage, Warlock and Druid appear in the original character menu. Their names are familiar, but this fan game has its own rules. Do not assume every rule from World of Warcraft carries over.

Use the class comparison to see a few choices side by side. The theme filters are a way to browse, not a measured combat ranking.

Read the starting spell in your version

Check what your selected character actually starts with. Balance changes, progression and the cards offered during a run can all change how a setup performs. This guide does not assign untested S-tier labels or guaranteed win rates.

Give each run one question

Choose one thing to learn: can you keep more space around your hero, make more use of an existing ability, or survive the situation that ended the previous run? Keep the question small enough to answer.

Write it in your run notebook, then note what actually happened. A useful plan can change as the offered cards change.

Sources and scope

We checked the launcher and relevant menus. A menu check is not a complete-run benchmark. Follow current in-game prompts when the game changes.
